We want to help you reach your potential and to do that we need to ensure we are only allowing the best applicants to join our peer group. We put every applicant through an interview process. Here is what we are looking for:

National Application Steps

  • Apply by clicking here or use the application button below.
  • Once you submit your application, our team will reach out to assist you in scheduling your interview and confirm you meet qualifying expectations.
  • Next, we will complete your interview via video chat (typically lasts 25 mins, leaving time at the end for questions).
  • Your application will either be approved or denied based on our member criteria.
  • If approved, we will begin your onboarding process immediately.

Additional Qualifying Requirements

In addition to being a core values fit, each applicant must be qualified by rules or corporate complexity established by the COO Alliance. The applicant must meet both requirements, as outlined below.

Requirement #1

The applicant must have a team of full-time employees or the equivalent under his or her control. Persons engaged on a commission basis rather than straight salary are considered employees if they are connected with the corporation and receive their principal there. Seasonal employees are not included in COO Alliance’s definition.


Requirement #2

The corporation must have an enterprise value of USD8,000,000 as defined by one of the following:

  • Annual revenue or run rate, based on projections, of $8MM.
  • Independent third-party investment/valuation of $8MM. 



* Financial Institutions is inclusive of corporations and firms that reflect a financial institution using assets under management such as central banks, retail and commercial banks, internet banks, credit unions, savings and loan associations, investment banks and companies, brokerage firms, insurance companies, mortgage companies, wealth management firms, trust and holding companies, investment traders and brokerages, private equity firms and family offices.

All events are resort casual. This is a little more casual than business casual in most areas of the country. Think chinos, loafers, and polos for men, and slacks, easy skirts/dresses, comfortable shoes for ladies.

Nope! We’ll provide all meals and materials.

Come ready to focus! Make sure your office knows that you will be engaged and without your phone during meetings. You can check in at lunch and during breaks, if necessary, but to truly get the most out of the event, you can’t be working remotely the whole time.

Let Meridith know as soon as possible. The hotel is amazing to work with! All meals include a vegetarian option, and allergies can be handled appropriately.

Yes, each member of the COO Alliance must complete the application and interview process to ensure our peer group is 100% vetted for the right people.

The yearly cost of the National Annual Membership is USD$20,000.

The cost to Test Drive a National Event is $6,740. Please keep in mind you can only Test Drive an event once.

The minimum requirements are as follows: 

  1. Annual company revenue of $8MM+ 
  2. Be the true COO or Second-in-Command of the company. 
  3. Run a team who reports to you as the Second-in-Command.

The COOA puts on 5 events per year for National Annual Members. Although, in your first year as a National Annual Member, you may only attend 3 of the 5 events.

Your year starts from the date of your first attended event.

All National Events are attended in-person.

Currently, all National Events are held in Phoenix, AZ, USA and Vancouver, BC, Canada. Click here for full event dates and locations.

No. Travel and lodging will be on your own. Your membership cost covers all National Events for the year, meals and travel during the events, and any additional activities scheduled during the events. 

All events are business casual. Example: chinos, loafers, and polos for men, and slacks, skirts/dresses, and comfortable shoes for ladies.

*If athletic wear is required for an activity during the event, we will let you know well beforehand so you can come prepared. 

Please come ready to participate and talk about your company, the good, the bad, and the needs improvement. We will provide all materials and meals while you are attending the event.
